Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin stun during Bad Bunny's Super Bowl Halftime Show

Bad Bunny has officially made Super Bowl history, becoming the first artist to deliver a fully Spanish-language halftime performance on the world’s biggest sporting stage.

Backed by booming reggaeton beats and unmistakable cultural pride, the Puerto Rican superstar turned the halftime show into a global celebration - one that put Latin music and heritage front and centre.

The performance featured surprise appearances from Lady Gaga, who joined Bad Bunny for a reggaeton-inspired version of Die With a Smile, and Ricky Martin.

The show also included cameo moments from Cardi B, Alix Earle, Pedro Pascal, Jessica Alba and more, while Bad Bunny powered through tracks from his album Debi Tirar Mas Fotos, including DtMF and NUEVAYoL. He also took time to acknowledge his recent Grammy success.

The historic halftime moment followed a huge night at the 2026 Grammys, where Bad Bunny won Album of the Year - once again rewriting the record books as the first artist to take home the award for a non-English language album.

Ahead of the Super Bowl, Bad Bunny spoke about what the moment truly meant to him, explaining that the performance was never about accolades:

“I wasn’t looking for anything of this. I wasn’t looking for the Album of the Year at the Grammys, also at the Latin Grammys. I wasn’t looking to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show,” he said. “I was looking to connect with my roots, connect with my people more than ever, connect with myself, with my history, with my culture, and I did in a very honest way.”

The halftime spectacle capped off a stacked pre-game lineup. Green Day kicked things off with high-energy performances of Holiday, Boulevard of Broken Dreams and American Idiot. Charlie Puth delivered the national anthem, Brandi Carlile performed America the Beautiful, and Coco Jones sang Lift Every Voice and Sing as part of the build-up.

A historic night - and one that will be remembered long after the final whistle.
