A wedding guest has received thousands of messages of support after newlyweds asked her for a 'bigger contribution'.
The anonymous user aired her outrage on a Mumsnet forum on Friday after receiving little thanks from the unidentified newlyweds for her generous £100 ($198) present.

“I recently attended an ex-colleague’s wedding where, in response to a request for cash gifts, I sent what I thought was a pretty decent cheque (£100 if it matters, though I can’t help feeling it shouldn’t).”
She recalled receiving an email from the couple after the ceremony which stated they were “glad to see everybody” and were pleased by the generosity.
"It then said, ‘we were surprised that your contribution didn’t seem to match the warmth of your good wishes on our big day.
“In view of your own position, if you wanted to send any adjustment it would be thankfully received’.”
She then asked the forum for help:

One user recommended cancelling the cheque and posting their email on Facebook, while another added: “I’d reply something along the lines of ‘if our gift to you offended you in someway, please feel free to return it’. Cheeky cow!”
Other commenters advised donating the money to charity instead or calculating how much it cost to attend the wedding and sending the couple an invoice.
