Starbucks Customer Left Shocked By Message Written On Label

Generally, we hear complaints about Starbucks consistently spelling our names wrong. But this one's a bit different!

When you've got two sisters who have type 1 diabetes, the last thing you want to see on the label of your coffee is, "DIABETES HERE I COME."

According to Action News Jax, a man received the cup with the comment on the label after asking a colleague to pick it up for him.

He told the TV station: "That first word just automatically brought the picture of both sisters in my head, and I was taken aback.

"Seeing and knowing the struggle my sisters went through, by third, fourth grade, it definitely struck a nerve, and I didn't just want to let it go."

Apparently he doesn't want an apology, just assurances it won't happen again to another customer.

He also told the TV station that he scribbled on the label, "2 of my sisters are diabetic, so... not funny", to let the workers know how he felt.

The St Augustine, Florida, Starbucks store manager Kent Miller said: "We strive to provide an inclusive and positive experience for our customers, and we're disappointed to learn of this incident. We are working directly with the customer to apologize for his experience, and with our partners (employees) to ensure this does not happen again."
