Slang for unusually prominent breasts on a man, or, in short, man boobs, moobs is now officially one of the 829,000 words in the Oxford English Dictionary!

The term went live online on Monday, along with hundreds of other words and expressions including biatch, YOLO (an acronym for You Only Live Once) and the colloquialism fuhgeddaboudit - what, seriously?!

The editors tend to be conservative and take their time to be certain that it’s noteworthy enough to earn inclusion.

Other additions to the quarterly update include gender-fluid, as in “a person who does not identify with a single fixed gender” and clicktivist, which refers to activism in the digital age.

The OED, which was first published in 1884 and describes itself the definitive record of the English language, appeared online six years ago.
