The secret behind all the 'Bridgerton' sex scenes

In the lead up to the release of Bridgerton season two on Netflix, we're finding out all the behind the scenes secrets.

Season one of the show gained a reputation as one of the raciest period dramas on TV - as all the sex scenes were choreographed by intimacy coordinator Lizzy Talbot.

The second season will focus on the love life of the eldest Bridgerton son, Anthony, in line with the books the series is based on, written by Julia Quinn.

Jonathan Bailey, who stars as Anthony, revealed in an interview to Radio Times that Lizzy brought a range of props to make the sex scenes look as realistic as possible.

"...it's amazing what you can do with a half-inflated netball" Bailey said.

“If there are two people doing a sex scene, the rule is they must have three barriers separating them. And there are certain acts where a half-inflated netball can allow for movement without having to connect physically." he continued.

Bridgerton's first season was a runaway hit for Netflix, having been watched by an estimated 63 million households across the globe.

Bridgerton season two lands on Netflix on March 25
