Japanese company NEC has revealed an early look at a gadget that comes straight out of a science fiction film!

It's a smartwatch that works with a pair of augmented reality (AR) glasses to project a keyboard onto the user's forearm.

NEC calls it the ARmKeypad and reckons it will have it available to use next year. The company has published a video showing an early prototype in action.

Although it's unlikely you'll see someone tapping away on one on their way down the street, NEC says it could be used in various professional fields like medicine, manufacturing or security.
