You can now stay at the real life ‘Dirty Dancing’ Resort and it looks amazing

Dirty Dancing is easily one of our favourite films of all time!

Not only did the show-stopping finale feature the most iconic movie dance scene of all time, but the 1987 blockbuster also gave us the late, great Patrick Swayze.

When you also add the fact that it was shot in the absolutely beautiful setting of The Kellerman Resort, it just adds to the magic of the film.

And now you can stay at the dream location!

That's right.

You can walk the same pathways as Swayze and Jennifer Grey ... or even have your own summer romance at the resort.

Although the Kellerman resort is a fictional location, it is based on an actual hotel called The Mountain Lake Lodge, located in Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains.

Neglected for practically 10 years, new management had a vision for the hotel and decided to make use of the Dirty Dancing name.

The general manager, Heidi Stone spoke to ABC News and said: "So many people come here to see the Kellerman’s Mountain House depicted in the movie. It’s a great story and when we decided to tell it and take the focus off a lake with no water and on what our customers wanted, that’s what brought us to where we are today."

Every year, you can take part in one of the four Dirty Dancing Weekends. There are many themed activities that include tours of movie locations, a scavenger hunt and a party.

There are also lawn games and group dance lessons.
