Blind autistic singer leaves America's Got Talent judges in 'tears' with stunning piano performance

The judges of America's Got Talent have been blown away once again by a stunning performance from Kodie Lee.

The singer and piano player - who was born with optic nerve hypoplasia and was diagnosed with autism at age four - showed off his beautiful vocal skills with a rendition of You Are The Reason by Calum Scott.

His emotional semifinal performance earned him a standing ovation from the cheering crowd, as well as glowing comments from the AGT judges.

Guest judge, Will and Grace star Sean Hayes said that Kodi's performance left him with "tears in [his] eyes", while Simon noted that his "breath was taken away".

Your story is unbelievable, but now let's take it back to your talent," Simon told Kodi. "You, in my opinion, [are] probably one of the most special, talented contestants we've ever had ... my breath was taken away during that."

Gabrielle Union - who awarded a Golden Buzzer for his audition - gushed over the singer, saying: "Every time you step on this stage, every breath you take, every note you hit, you make the world one thousand per cent better."

"We are all so grateful to be in your orbit."
