Police hunting a group of people in the central North Island have cordoned off a section of Miro St as Armed Offenders Squad members appear to be executing a raid.

It's on the same house that was raided earlier on; it remains unclear who police are searching for or if Dolphy Kohu is at the house.

Armed officers are at each end of the cordon keeping residents and media out.

Earlier this afternoon police made an arrest on the same street with a woman of interest was taken into custody at an Ohakune house.

The offenders are considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.

If you have any details please call 111 immediately.
