Catching a plane, most people would agree that it could be one of the most stressful things of a holiday, making sure your bags are packed, you have your passport, in-flight entertainment, maybe even the kids might be getting too rowdy and making the whole thing an absolute nightmare and to make things worse you're late!

You've managed to make the gate and you're on the plane and suddenly hit with an overwhelming sense of calm. You're not sure why. but you feel relaxed just looking at your seat (although don't stick around as you might make people behind you a little grumpy). Well, did you know that you may be feeling nice and calm because of the blue seats on a plane?

A report has emerged explaining that the blue on planes seats was chosen because of the calming effects on the body. Colour experts explain that blue is a colour associated with peace, with calming seas and clear skies which link to inner serenity, calm and clarity. As result, companies try their best to give planes a more residential and comfortable feeling within the plane.

So take a moment to relax and breath the next time you're on a plane.
