The Prime Minister of New Zealand, Jacinda Ardern sparked an interesting debate this week after being asked if she would ever propose marriage to her partner, Clarke Gayford.
While Jacinda admitted that she would rather Clarke – who she welcomed her first child Neve with last year – is the one to get down on one knee, it got us wondering – in 2019 should more women be the one to pop the question?

Stace and Flynny threw it out there for Kiwis to have their say and while some said they would want to stick with tradition, there were many ladies out there who would want to – or already have – been the ones to do the asking.
