Apple is suspected to be considering allowing users to remove the pre-installed apps that automatically come with iOS.
Speaking with Buzz Feed, Tim Cook, Apple CEO had stated the company is “looking at” giving users the ability to un-install these apps.
Apparently it is a more complex issue than we understand, as removing some apps may affect other functions on the iPhone.
Standard apps such as Mail, Safari and the Camera are placed in a different group to those like Compass, Stocks and Tips. Cook made hints that the latter group do not have a significant role in iOS so potentially these could be removed.
It is not confirmed whether this will go ahead, but the great new is, Apple is actually considering it!
