We want you to cast your mind back to 1997, when scented gel pens and butterfly clips were a thing and you'd listen to Aqua's 'Barbie Girl' on repeat ...
Yep, it's been 22 YEARS since the Danish-Norwegian quartet hit our airwaves for the first time with their catchy hit.
The dance-pop group – made up of Lene Nystrøm (the girl), René Dif (the bald one), Søren Rasted (the spikey haired one), and Claus Norreen (the redhead) – went on to release 'Doctor Jones', 'Turn Back Time' and 'Cartoon Heroes' amongst several other singles and three full albums.
Soon after the release of their second album in 2000, the band went their separate ways stating in Billboard: "We have looked each other straight in the eye and reached the conclusion that, for the moment, the spark is missing."
Despite this, the band remained close, joining forces again multiple times over the past 18 years.
And now they're coming to NEW ZEALAND as part of the So Pop Tour!
So what's the band up to now?
Lene Nystrøm
In 2001, Lene and bandmate Søren got married in Las Vegas - they now have two kids together.
Lene still works in the music business. She released a solo album in 2003 called Play With Me, which never reached the charts.
But she did find success when she wrote Girls Aloud's 'No Good Advice' which reached number two in the UK charts.
Søren Rasted
Søren started up his own band called Lazyboy, which according to last.fm, "uses spoken word trivia, self-help advice, voices of people on the street and criticism of modern society set to hip hop-esque beats in a style dubbed 'Rhythm'n'Speak' by the creators."
The group's name was renamed to Lazy B after a sofa brand with the same name kicked up a fuss.
René Dif
Aqua's other vocalist, also released a couple of singles, but nothing you'd have heard of. He also appeared in a handful of Danish films.
He's now married to a health coach and has a daughter named Mabel.
According to his LinkedIn page, he is the CEO and founder of a "personal snack and salsa brand company" called Diffood.
He also does a fair bit of DJing.
Claus Norreen
Claus recently announced his departure from the band, so little is known about him.
According to his Wikipedia page, he lives a quieter life in London and has a son called Eliot.
