Full trailer for 'The Love Hypothesis' just dropped and we're already obsessed
Prime Video just dropped the full trailer for The Love Hypothesis, and BookTok fans are losing it.
If you loved Off Campus - swoony, a little chaotic, and guaranteed to hit you right in the feels - then The Love Hypothesis needs to be at the top of your watchlist.
We already knew the Ali Hazelwood adaptation was coming, but the brand-new trailer has given us our best look yet at Olive and Adam's fake dating romance, and honestly, it looks like everything readers were hoping for.
If you've been counting down since casting was announced, this trailer delivers plenty to get excited about.

The fake dating story that's about to take over your group chat
Olive Smith (Lili Reinhart) is a PhD candidate trying to convince her best friend she's completely over her latest crush. Her solution? Kiss a random man.
Except it turns out he isn't random at all.
The man Olive kisses is Professor Adam Carlsen (Tom Bateman), the intimidating, highly respected scientist everybody knows. When Olive suggests they continue pretending to date, Adam surprisingly agrees. But he wants something in return. The fake relationship helps him appear less like a "flight risk" to Stanford, which is considering pulling funding from his grant.
Rules are put in place. Boundaries are established. And then, naturally, everything gets complicated.
It's giving enemies-to-lovers, workplace tension, academic pressure, and slow-burn romance all wrapped into one very addictive package.

Yes, the sunscreen scene made it into the trailer
Fans of the book have been very clear about the moments they wanted to see make the jump from page to screen, and one scene sat right at the top of the wish list.
The sunscreen scene.
The new trailer finally gives viewers a glimpse of the iconic moment, with Olive helping a shirtless Adam apply sunscreen while attempting to teach him how to flirt. She even asks him to "smile, please", and the results are exactly as awkward and adorable as you'd expect.
As the trailer goes on, the line between fake dating and real feelings starts to blur. The chemistry between Reinhart and Bateman is impossible to ignore, and it's pretty clear these two might not be pretending for much longer.

Who's in it
- Lili Reinhart as Olive - Riverdale fans already know she can do chaotic and lovable in her sleep
- Tom Bateman as Adam - bringing the brooding, slightly terrifying professor energy we did not know we needed
- Rachel Marsh, Nicholas Duvernay, Jaboukie Young-White and Arty Froushan rounding out the cast
It's one of those ensembles where everyone just fits, and the chemistry between the two leads is doing a lot of heavy lifting.
Mark it in your calendar
This is the kind of movie you put on expecting a fun rom-com and end up emotionally attached to by the end.
Funny, heartfelt, awkward in all the right ways, and packed with fan-favourite moments, The Love Hypothesis premieres on Prime Video on September 23.
