'The Love Hypothesis' is finally here and we're already planning our movie night

The BookTok favourite has officially landed on Prime Video, and if you love a good slow-burn rom-com, this one's calling your name.

After months of waiting, The Love Hypothesis has officially arrived on Prime Video today, and honestly, we're very ready to settle in and watch.

Based on Ali Hazelwood's bestselling novel, the movie adaptation has been one of the most anticipated BookTok releases of the year, and everything we've seen so far suggests it was worth the wait.

If you're a fan of romance stories like Off Campus that balance humour, heart, and plenty of tension, this one should be next on your watchlist.

The story follows Olive Smith (Lili Reinhart), a PhD student who finds herself in an awkward situation when she tries to convince her best friend she's completely over her latest crush. Her solution? Kissing the first man she sees.

The only problem is that the man turns out to be Adam Carlsen (Tom Bateman), one of the most respected and intimidating professors on campus.

What starts as a completely fake relationship soon becomes something a lot more complicated as the pair agree to keep up appearances for reasons that benefit them both. Cue the awkward encounters, undeniable chemistry, and plenty of moments that will have fans of the book grinning from ear to ear.

And yes, one of the novel's most-loved moments, the famous sunscreen scene, made it into the movie.

From the trailer alone, the chemistry between Reinhart and Bateman looks strong, and early glimpses have reassured fans that the adaptation has stayed true to the spirit of the original story.
