Have you ever tried to store a pizza box, containing the leftover pieces you were too full to eat, in your fridge?

It’s always awkward trying to navigate what’s already filling up your fridge to make the large cardboard box it fit.

And it turns out, that’s because we’ve been storing our leftover pizza completely wrong!

Luckily, Dominos has come to the rescue with a simple life hack for folding pizza boxes in half - and frankly, we can’t believe we hadn’t thought to do it before!

Sharing a diagram on social media, Dominos wrote: "ATTN: LEFTOVER PIZZA LOVERS. Here is your four-step method to save on fridge space (and having to do the dishes)"

The trick is to simply remove the lid of the pizza box along the serrated edge and snip the sides of the bottom and just fold it over.

How genius is that?!

Pizza-lovers definitely seemed impressed with the easy trick, with many noting that they’d try it out - if in fact, they ended up having any leftovers.

"Nice one! I always have two leftover slices, and now will use this handy hack and not only fit in my small fridge but also can go straight into the microwave the next day!" One person commented on Facebook.

Another added: "How have we never thought of this?!"

This isn’t the first time a pizza company has tried to make life easier for leftover slices.

Kiwi company Hell Pizza used to even have a cut out in their boxes that folded into a coffin to hold the remains of your pizza - but sadly that design has been discontinued.

But now we can try out this new trick on any pizza box!
