Remember when these were the only games we could play on our computers?!Â
Well, it turns out that Solitaire and Minesweeper weren't just made for fun.
These games were actually teaching people crucial new physical computing functions, Mental Floss have revealed (via ShortList).

Solitaire got people familiar with the 'drag and drop' system.

The main purpose of Minesweeper was to teach users about both left and right clicking on the mouse!

Hearts taught people about networking and got people familiar with the idea. While playing the game you could communicate with other Hearts clients on a LAN.
