This clip from new Harry and Meghan movie is SO DRAMATIC you can't help but laugh!

Royal fans have been given a sneak peek at the new Lifetime movie about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex … and it looks EXTREMELY dramatic.

Harry & Meghan: Becoming Royal – which debuted on US televisions today – focuses on the couple in the lead up to their big day and what came after.

An intense snippet from the movie has been unveiled and shows a distraught Meghan – played by doppelganger actress Tiffany Smith – on the phone with her father Thomas Markle, who claimed he wasn’t able to attend the royal wedding due to a heart attack.

In the scene, Prince Harry – played by actor Charlie Field – tries to comfort a crying Meghan.

Let’s just say the melodrama levels are off the charts!

"This wedding is not about your father, and it's not about the gossip writers, it's just about you and me," Harry tells his fiance in the clip.

Becoming Royal is a follow up to the Lifetime movie Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance which depicted the beginning of the couple’s relationship.

It is unclear on when Becoming Royal will hit New Zealand TV screens, but as A Royal Romance aired last year on Sky TV’s Vibe channel – our fingers are crossed that a release date will be announced eventually.
