Apple iPhone 7 will be re-launched in a surprising new colour

The tech giant will allegedly unveil the red iPhone 7 during its iPad event in March.

The iPhone 7 is currently available in five colours - so the red aluminium finish will join the existing Black, Jet Black, Rose Gold, Silver and Gold options.

According to Japanese blog Macotakara, the new red iPhone 7 will be announced within weeks.

The blog has always been reliable with these reports, being the first to claim Apple would drop the headphone port with the iPhone 7.

But the new iPhone 7 release may come as a disappointment to fans eagerly waiting for the iPhone 8 launch.
