How your New Zealand passport could get you into Buckinham Palace

You have to love the curiosity of kiwis! The number 8 wire, splitting the atom, the pavlova (contentious issue), all discovered through the classic kiwi "what does this do?" attitude. Well, it may have just discovered another great find!

LA-Based investor Greg Agnew and his wife Nicole were invited to a garden party at Buckingham Palace because of a loophole that he discovered for us Kiwis (and Aussies, but we'll keep that a secret).

The real reason we're in London: We have been invited to attend Queen Elizabeth's garden party this afternoon with the Queen and Royal Family at Buckingham Palace. They gave us this extra card to frame.

According to Agnew, anyone with a New Zealand Passport can be invited by the difficult task of...ASKING! By his accounts, Greg just considers himself your everyday Kiwi, except now he's an everyday kiwi that's been invited to Garden Party at Buckingham Palace. Reports explain that the New Zealand High Commission is allocated a number of invitations for New Zealand citizens to attend Royal events in the UK.
