Kate Hudson says she wants to 'bring the mullet back'

After shaving her head in July for a film role, Kate Hudson is already planning her next hairstyle.

"I was thinking of bringing the mullet back!' the 38-year-old Oscar nominee announced on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

"I'm starting to go through the first awkward stage of, like, the growing out. You see it's sticking up and I have to, like, put it down with product or else it [sticks out]."

The Deepwater Horizon actress continued: "I've been kind of off my Snapchat game, but I think if I had a mullet I'd be really on my Snapchat game. So it's good for social media presence,"

When asked how her musician beau Danny Fujikawa reacted to the movie makeover, Kate said: "I hope our relationship can transcend hair."

DeGeneres and Hudson also teamed up for a silly 'Helping Hands' segment demonstrating how to throw the perfect movie night, and later took part in a round of 'Champong'.
