Meghan Markle has broken royal protocol again... but this time it's because of her hair!

Earlier this week Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped out for their first public appearance of 2018, visiting youth radio station, Reprezent.

While it's only the second week of January, Miss Markle has already broken another royal 'rule' - and one that is strictly followed by the rest of the monarchy.

Yep, it's protocol the in-palace team of hairstylists are supposed to perfectly coif the royal's tresses in traditional styles.

However, the 36-year-old actress wore her long brunette hair in a messy bun that looked like there was no way it was constructed by the Queen's team.

Her look was noticeably different from the professional blow dry or an elaborate up-do we see Kate Middleton and the Queen sport.

The former Suits star and Prince Harry announced their engagement late last year after months of speculation.

The couple will tie the knot on Saturday 19 May and live together in Kensington Palace.
