Penelope Cruz is unrecognisable as she goes peroxide blonde!

Entertainment Weekly has given us our first official look at Penelope Cruz in character as Donatella Versace - and she is unrecognisable!!

For the third season of American Crime Story, Cruz has taken on Versace's signature long, platinum blonde hair, looking every bit the fashion icon.

Many fans speculated that Lady Gaga would originally play the role, but it ultimately went to Cruz - which we think was the perfect decision.

The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story, is about Donatella’s brother Gianni’s murder by Andrew Cunanan in 1997. It is expected to premiere in 2018.

Glee's Darren Criss has been cast as Cunanan, while Édgar Rarmirez will play the fashion designer and Ricky Martin will play Versace’s longtime partner Antonio D’Amico.
