Prince William just accidentally gave us a major hint on the sex of the royal baby!

We're counting down the minutes until the Duchess of Cambridge gives birth to her third child.

Which means speculation is growing around the sex of the royal baby.

While royal watchers are convinced the mum-of-two is expecting another girl, Prince William may have just accidentally revealed the couple are actually having a boy!

During an outing to watch his favourite soccer team Aston Villa take on Cardiff City, the royal dad reportedly told fans: "I'm going to insist the baby is called Jack."

He then paused, realising he may have slipped up, and quickly said: "...Or Jackie!"

The name was a dedication to Aston Villa player Jack Grealish, who scored a goal that claimed victory for the team.

The Duchess is expected to give birth any day now and the Lido Wing - where Prince George and Princess Charlotte were born - is already starting to prepare by suspending parking outside of the vicinity and putting up barriers.
