Fans wowed by Natalie Portman’s body transformation in Taika Waititi’s 'Thor: Love and Thunder'

Natalie Portman has left fans frothing in the best way possible.

The 40-year-old actress – who first played the part of Jane Foster in the first and second Thor flick - is returning to the Thor franchise for the latest sequel, Thor: Love and Thunder, directed by Kiwi Taika Waititi.

Now, photos of the mother-of-two in her new role as 'Female Thor', sporting impressively muscular arms have been unveiled by Marvel and fans are going wild for her.

"Girls don’t want boys, girls want Natalie Portman as Thor," one fan wrote on Twitter.

"Every pic of buff Natalie Portman from the Thor movie sends me to the moon," another ecstatic fan noted.

Speaking with Insider about her buff body transformation, Natalie noted that a mix of weight training and protein shakes was what helped her get into her new Thor role.

"We did a lot of weight training and a lot of protein shakes — heavyweight training that I haven't ever done before," she said.

"Of course, I've never really aimed to get bulky. It was very physical, so it was a lot of both agility work and also strength work."

Meanwhile, Natalie’s Love and Thunder co-star Tessa Thompson also appeared in one of the photos released by Marvel, in which she is sitting alongside the Black Swan star, looking equally as ripped and we are here for it!

They will be joined on screen by Christian Bale, Taika Waititi, Chris Pratt, and of course, original Thor, Chris Hemsworth.

Thor: Love and Thunder is set to hit cinemas around New Zealand on July 7, 2022.
