Jono & Ben clear up Sam Wallace's awkward incident on 'The Burner Phone' podcast

In the latest episode of The Burner Phone, Sam Wallace, former weatherman, and Coast radio host, called in to set the record straight about a story Jono and Ben had shared about him.

It all started when Jono and Ben received a message from Sam, expressing his concerns that they may have got some details wrong about a story they told on their show. Jono and Ben were quick to admit that they might have created a whole other story from bits of information they had heard.

According to Jono and Ben's version of events, Sam was staying in a hotel room when the steam from his shower set off a fire alarm or sprinkler. Naked and dripping wet, Sam tried to cover himself with a towel while hopping up on a table or chair to reach the fire alarm. However, the hotel staff walked in with fire extinguishers, fully exposing him in his birthday suit.

To everyone's surprise, Sam confirmed that the story was almost spot-on, except for a few minor details. It turns out that Sam wasn't staying in a hotel room when the hilarious incident took place, but in an apartment with a spa in the bedroom. As Sam recounted the story, the apartment was super romantic, with views of the lake, but he had his one-year-old baby with him at the time, which made it less so.

Sam explained that he and his wife were having a soak in the spa with their baby when the steam set off the fire alarm. As Sam attempted to reach the alarm, he was in a compromising position, and his dignity was at stake. The hotel staff walked in, ready to put out the non-existent fire, and Sam was left fully exposed, much to his embarrassment.

Poor Sam! At least he was able to set the record straight with Jono & Ben - listen to the full episode above.
