Stuck for back-to-school lunch ideas? Kiwi celeb chef Ganesh Raj has got you sorted!

It's that time of year again! The kids are heading back to school - which means parents are back to having to sort out school lunches.

And honestly, sometimes it can be a bit of a head-scratcher knowing what to do, especially if you're a new parent like Brad whose little girl is starting kindergarten soon.

Thankfully Eat Well For Less NZ's Ganesh Raj has come to the rescue with some truly genius tips and ideas.

One of his biggest tips was so simple, yet completely game-changing.

"Here's [a] tip for you," Ganesh told Brad. "Always make sure the lunch box ideas have actually come from your dinner ideas."

"So [for example] make sushi the night before. Have sushi for dinner as a family. Make sushi together, it's so much fun."

"And then the next day you've already made some little rolls ready for the next day."

The next tip for what food to make, Ganesh recommends sushi rolls, fried rice, Mediterranean pasta salads, and berries with Greek yogurt and honey.

All simple, quick, and easy to make!

"It's actually even better for them at school, because this type of food actually goes along the way it doesn't give them the insulin spike, which the old types of desserts used to give kids," Ganesh added.
