Michelle Williams has got married in secret!

Surprise! She's officially off the market!

Michelle Williams has married indie rock musician Phil Elverum.

According to Vanity Fair, the couple reportedly exchanged vows during a private ceremony in front of a handful of friends in the Adirondacks in upstate New York earlier this month.

Their nuptials were also witnessed by their children - Williams' daughter from her romance with Heath Ledger, Matilda, 12, and Elverum's daughter Agathe, 3.

The 'Dawson's Creek' star revealed the news of her wedding in a newly released interview, which was actaully conducted before the couple wed.

"I would tell you everything, in the spirit of women sharing with each other, (but) the Internet's an a**hole," she initially told the journalist.

She then, subsequently, decided to open up about her new romance, saying it's "very sacred and very special".

Williams also admitted she "never gave up on love".

"I always say to Matilda, 'Your dad loved me before anybody thought I was talented, or pretty, or had nice clothes'."

"Obviously I've never once in my life talked about a relationship, but Phil isn't anyone else. And that's worth something," she said.

"Ultimately the way he loves me is the way I want to live my life on the whole. I work to be free inside of the moment. I parent to let Matilda feel free to be herself, and I am finally loved by someone who makes me feel free."

The 37-year-old actress, who is notoriously private, apparently met the Mount Eerie frontman through a mutual friend.

Both stars have lost loved ones; William's ex-partner Heath Ledger died at age 28 in 2008.

While Elverum's wife Geneviève Castrée died of pancreatic cancer in 2016, when their daughter was an infant.
