That wait is nearly over ...

During last week’s Super Bowl, we were treated to the first trailer for Hulu’s spectacularly dystopian The Handmaid’s Tale's third season — and now we have an official release date!

Hulu has confirmed today that the award-winning drama will debut on June 5.

Well, that's when the first three episodes of the show will arrive.

The remaining 10 episodes will debut every Wednesday after.

We don't yet know where season three will go, but executive producer Bruce Miller told TV Insider that "the season is about resistance – June resisting and June fighting. After a couple of seasons of being beaten down, she’s had quite enough. She’s finding ways to rebel."

In New Zealand, The Handmaid’s Tale is available to be streamed on Lightbox.

The video on demand service has yet to confirm their date of release for the third season but fingers crossed it's as close as possible to Hulu's!

In the meantime, we've got four months to binge watch season one and two again.
