'Friends' star Courteney Cox reveals that she hasn't seen her fiance in 200 days

Courteney Cox hasn't seen her fiance for more than 200 days.

The former Friends star said goodbye to Johnny McDaid in March, when he returned to the UK just a day before California stopped letting in outside visitors due to the coronavirus pandemic, but she insisted she hasn't been feeling too lonely without him.

She said: "At first I was like, wow what do I do with myself? I cook every day, I've learned to cook so much more, I've perfected it...

"I haven't seen John in that many days, he left when the country shut down, the day before.

"Sundays are different, I miss a lot of it, although people are starting to go, 'OK, people have been quarantining, everyone's safe', they like to come to the beach so I'm not that lonely."

The 56-year-old star was thankful to have two friends volunteer to stay with her amid the global health crisis because she is too "chicken" to have stayed alone with her 16-year-old daughter Coco.

Speaking to Foy Vance on his Vinyl Supper podcast and video series, she said: "I have these two friends, they were gonna quarantine with me, which is great because if I can't be with John, I don't wanna be just be by myself with Coco, I'm a little chicken."

Unfortunately, one of her pals contracted coronavirus and was left "almost dead" in hospital, though he has thankfully now recovered.

She said: "They were out here, they went home for three days to pack stuff up and someone at their house had Covid.

"They came back, they got here on a Friday - we'd been tested, everyone tested negative.

"But two days later, Kevin started feeling tired and threw up and was like, 'I think I have a cold.'

"Didn't think it could be Covid because he'd just been tested but four days later, in a hospital on a ventilator almost dead. In there for 18 days, he had dialysis, the whole thing and he's completely recovered but that was one of the scariest things.

" I wouldn't even understand Covid-19 if it hadn't been right here."

The 'Cougar Town' actress revealed she first met Johnny when he was living with mutual friend Ed Sheeran in Venice, and his
pal Foy's album 'The Joy of Nothing' will always remind her of that time.

She said: "I met John through Ed, they were living together in Venice and I used to go over to their place and he'd play it all the time. It's how I met you, through John, it's such a feel-good thing."
