Barack Obama Launches Facebook Page With Guided Video Tour Of His "Backyard"

The world’s most powerful man finally joined Facebook after Barack Obama signed up for the social media site.

Writing on his wall the US President, 54, said: “Hello, Facebook! I finally got my very own page.

“I hope you’ll think of this as a place where we can have real conversations about the most important issues facing our country – a place where you can hear directly from me, and share your own thoughts and stories. (You can expect some just-for-fun stuff, too.)”

As part of introducing himself he posted a two minute 15 second video inviting his followers to join him for walk in his “backyard” at the White House.
