American band Toto was welcomed into New Zealand this week with a pōwhiri and their response has blown everyone one away.
After landing in Tauranga airport, the band was greeted with the traditional Māori custom by local iwi, and to show their appreciation the band sang their hit song, Africa.
Led by singer Joseph Williams, the group belted out a truly stunning a Capella version of the track, which was caught on camera by a nearby witness.
According to the band’s tour manager Heath Wynd, Toto was "blown away" by the traditional welcome.
