A favourite Shortland St villain may be making a return!

On May 25 Shortland Street will be celebrating 25 years of the iconic Kiwi soap being on our screens.

And they are making an extravagant television event out of it. 

It has already been revealed that one of the fan favourite couples, Waverley and Nick, are making a return, but it now appears that a favourite villain could also be making an appearance in Ferndale. 

Shane Cortese, who played Dominic Thompson, has featured in a photo posted on Facebook by Shortland Street. 

However, Dominic's demise on the show came when he lit himself on fire, so we are VERY confused about this cryptic post from Shortland Street! 

Spy reported last month that a number of past stars will make cameos in the special, including one who’s made it big overseas since Shorty.
